We did what every full-time RVer does: we didn't account for the holiday weekend. Had no idea where we were going to land tonight (Saturday of Labor Day weekend) or how hard it would be to find a spot. Arrived at Brick House campground, in Sumter National Forest, and it was practically empty. The only people here seem to be horse owners, as the trails are horse-friendly.
$5/night or $2.50 with the Access Pass. Fourteen night stay limit.
Only 3.7 miles off the interstate. One-lane road with plenty of clearance on either side. Low-hanging branches, but they were small.

SITE
We took site #14 at the rear, the only pull-through. Long enough for our 40-foot and level. Secluded, and our door opens to the woods. Large area with fire pit and picnic table. You can used any downed limbs for a fire.
AMENITIES/ACTIVITIES
This is basic. Dry-camping with no hookups. There is an outhouse right across the road from our site. But how can you beat the scenery. Towering pines mixed with oak trees, with the smell of pine in the air. Quick walk to a trail, which was gorgeous.
