There is no consistency in the size, privacy and leveling of the different sites, but one can easily find one to his liking, at least for all the backup sites. As for the pull trough sites, they are more in an open field, separated only by a patch of grass and a few planted trees.
Being close to downtown St-John’s, this means you are close to all the main tourist attractions the city has to offer.
The campground has WiFi but only in the pull through section (loop 4). This did not bother me at all since we had a very good cell coverage with Bell and Vidéotron.

Otherwise the location is super convenient.

“Convenient Location To Explore St. John’s”

This was a big park with lots of camping options. We had a nice, fairly private site. We were able to do laundry, dump, and fill while there. It was a convenient location close to St. John’s and everything we wanted to do for a few days. We didn’t spend a lot of time at our site, but it seemed like there were a lot of amenities nearby.

Our site was very private. Lots of vegetation between the sites.
Park is located in the middle of St John's with few other options available.
Park is guarded 24 hours per day, and has good bathroom facilities.
Not too far from a major traffic route, so some traffic noise is noticeable.

The best thing about this campground is it’s proxity to St. John’s. City bus stop is just outside the camp gates, we took a city tour with Legend Tours which was well worth the money. The camp staff were friendly and courteous.

Most sites are small but most have vegetation privacy, except the serviced loop which doesn’t have plant separation. Camp has bathhouses with flush toilet toilets and showers, laundry, mini-golf, camp store, and walking trails. Pippy Park has an 18 hole & 9 hole golf course (Didn’t see-them). WiFi available at picnic building.
