Ohio State Parks

The beautiful state of Ohio is home to 75 state parks. Five of the more popular state parks are:

Alum Creek State Park: Anglers and water-enthusiasts will enjoy Ohio’s largest inland beach (3,000 foot beach). All 286 camping sites have electrical hook-ups for RV camping.

Lake Hope State Park: Nestled within the Zaleski State Forest, this state park offers both electric (46) and non-electric (141) sites. Nearby amenities are heated bathhouses and flush toilets; each site has picnic tables and fire rings.

West Branch State Park: Bring Fido along, because pets are allowed at all of the camping sites.

Findley State Park: Located in northeast Ohio, this state park has both RV and tent camping sites. There are also recreational activities on-site like basketball, sand volleyball, gaga ball, and horseshoes.

Hocking Hills State Park: This state park is known for natural beauty like waterfalls, gorges, and amazing rock formations. Campers enjoy fishing at the nearby Rose Lake, when not enjoying the abundant hiking trails and views.

"Overpriced"

Paid $37/night for electric only on a very unlevel site #22. Site was private with shrubbery on three sides, but even with levelers, my back on a 19’ van was 7” off. Site was relatively clean as was shower house. However, there was no temperature control on the showers. Water never got above warm. Coin-op laundry adequate and clean. Water to...

"Basic"

For $24/night you get a place on the grass with 15/30 amp, fire pit and picnic table all on left side of vehicle. So it’s awkward to use side door of rig. Wouldn’t matter to tenters. Sites are very uneven and difficult to level on wet ground. No privacy between sites. 1-6 have shade. Road in is pot-holed. The camp ground does not have a...

Arrived at 4:00 and parked for the night. In the morning there were 3 more RVs in the lot. Great food as always. Would recommend!

"Safe, Quiet, Friendly Staff."

1st and last night free if you are getting your trailer worked on. Otherwise, for Airstreams, it is now $20 a night. Sewer connection is a stretch for many campers. You may need to get out that 2nd hose to reach it. Water and electric are fine. Subway, you can walk to for food. Otherwise, you will need to drive to another town like Sidney....

Max is a gem as the other reviewer mentioned. So much to see in the neighboring town of Marietta. This is our second time back to Max’s campground and it won’t be our last. Max is a wonderful owner and very friendly and knowledgeable.
