“Fantastic playground for kids and large group activity area”

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #70, a FHU, BI site for $45/night with all fees. The road through the park was gravel and the site was gravel and grass. This is a family owned campground with a mix of permanent, seasonal and temporary occupants. It was very quiet as school had not yet gotten out for the year. Most of the sites had trailers parked on them for weekend use. There is the most fabulous playground for kids with a separate section for toddlers. There is also a great setup for group gatherings with big BBQ grills and a griddle. They often have bingo nights once they are fully “in-season.” It was easy to navigate around the park. The bathhouse was older but clean (next to the pool.) Laundry room needed to be cleaned. Connectivity: 2 bars LTE with Verizon international plan, 5.0 mbps download speed but was still able to stream with occasional buffering and a handful of OTA channels were available. Owners and staff were very nice. Site 70 had a fair amount of room around it. It was shaded, level with a big front yard and some bushes for privacy in the front. You could hear occasional trains and it might be noisier once families are there in the summer. I enjoyed my stay there. Note: have a copy of your itinerary, registration for all vehicles, proof of insurance and any pet vaccination records available when you cross the border if you are coming from the US.

“A great surprise!”

It's a bit of a long story how we ended up here, but we are glad we did! This is a private campground, the owners are very friendly and helpful. We called on a Wednesday, looking for a site for Friday and hoping to stay 1 month.

The host said he would have to look through the reservations and he would get back to me. True to his word, he called back and said they could make it work. He had to move a few reservations around, but he had a site for us.

The campground is conveniently located 3 km north of the 401 (exit 825). Not too far, but far enough from the highway you do not hear the highway noise.

There are approximately 130 sites, there are pull throughs, backin sites, tent sites and a mixture of water / elec / sewer sites. There is a dump station and plenty of mature trees.

A great playgound for the kids, a large CLEAN swimming pool, laundry facilities and an entertainment building where they have activities on the weekends for both the children and adults. Also a small store where they stock the basic supplies.

For a private campground, the sites are actually quite large (probably 45' by 60').

There are quite a few mosquitos present, but that is not a surprise, as the area has had a ton of rain this season. A little bug spray solved that problem.

Extremely clean campground!

We have Rogers cell phones and the service was 5 bars. The campground also has wireless internet and was better than most sites we have stayed at.
