I really appreciate a campground that is prepared to help campers that are not used to the local natural disasters. I’m from the Midwest so I’m used to tornado warnings, but I have been in a tornado warning at a campground where I’ve seen about 20 cars full of families milling around a parking lot on a hill not knowing what to do. The severe straight line winds that night barely missed the campground.

Like most other reviews had, it is basically a parking lot. Very convenient to downtown STL and easy access. Clean facilities and fairly level sites, It was quite our first night, second night we had a few trains roll through. It was better than I thought.

We cranked the AC fan and slept fine. Seemed a little sketchy when we first got there but ended up just fine. A huge bonus is the casino has a shuttle that takes you into town for Cards or Blues games for free. Like I said earlier the location is awesome, you're like 10 minutes from the Arch and all the other downtown STL attractions.

Only one toilet working. No shuttle to casino so we walked to find only one place open to eat- the chicken place which was ok. You could hear the train at the RV park but it didn’t bother us like it did others. Another couple said they walked to the train and took it to the arch from Campground. Cheap drinks $2 white claw in casino and cheap beer deals. Full hook ups. Good location to other things in area.

I was a little worried about this place after reading reviews. It was better than I expected it to be. It’s nothing fancy, just a parking lot. One side seemed to be for smaller sized rigs and they had shade trees between the sites. The other side is for bigger rigs and there were no trees, but they did have gravel between each asphalt pad. It was a little pricey for what it is, but we couldn’t find anything else with openings in the area and it was close to Busch Stadium. We stopped here for one night as we were driving through and we decided to go to a Cardinals game. Great view of the arch from the campground. There is a code to get in the gate and the same code gets you into the bathrooms which were dirty and gross. I did not see any staff while we were there or any security from the casino, but we didn’t feel unsafe at all. I’ve read reviews about a big dip as you enter the campground that has caused people to drag, but we didn’t have any issues with it. Overall, I would recommend this place for anyone needing to be close to St. Louis.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in the site #611, a FHU, PT site for $57 a night with the Good Sam discount. There are two sections to this campground. The older section has grass between many of the sites and trees scattered around. Some of the sites get shade which would have been nice since it was 97 degrees out. However, the sites are shorter and may not fit larger rigs. The newer section where #611 was located was basically a large parking lot. Roads and sites were asphalt and there was rock between the sites. It was a very hot environment especially with the sites being packed in there, neighbors were very close. All the hookups were at the back of the site. Some class A rigs with toads had a hard time reaching the connections. I had 4 bars 5G with Verizon, 11.2 mbps download speed, free wifi which was ok and lots of OTA channels. The laundry room only had 2 machines for a huge RV park. $3 for wash and dry. The dryer was also inefficient as it took two rounds to get sheets and towels dry. Plus the room was not air conditioned and had no window blinds so it was blazing hot. There was no change in the machine and no attendant anywhere near the campground. Totally overpriced for what you get. But, the location is great for visiting downtown St. Louis and the Arch. I could see the Arch from my kitchen table. That being said, I don’t think I would stay here again. It just didn’t feel safe. Plus there was road noise, trains nearby and airplanes. A very loud and hot environment. If you do go, visit “The Hill,” an Italian neighborhood. Go to Eovaldi’s for a great meatball sandwich and the Missouri Baking Company for fabulous baked goods.

Its a glorified parking lot, but convenient with water, electric and sewer. We made dinner then spent a few hours in the casino which was fun.

We were traveling with a 30ft travel trailer and enjoyed being able to easily park our home by pulling thru. They have full hookups that were functioning during our stay. It has secure laundry (key pad access) which cost $3 per load. The dryer seemed to run for about 30-35 minutes and the laundry is coin feed as well. It was a good location to do things around St. Louis. The WiFi was decent during our stay to be able to stream movies. For reference on WiFi load, the park was probably about 25% full during our entire stay.
We got used to it but there is a decent bit of noise from the train that’s right behind the campground.
Overall, we’d stay there again.
